Lynne R. Ostfeld has an interest in agricultural work through both participation with family members in the management of several family farms, as well as professional work with contracts and contract law, export/import issues, customs law, and distribution networks.

She is Adjunct Professor of international agri-business law at The John Marshall Law School, and is an active member of The Chicago Farmers, as well as of the agricultural law committees of the ABA, ISBA, and CBA.

In September 2001, she spoke to a group of French farmer representatives (Euralis) in Chicago about issues of concern for the American farmer, whether it be the continuation of the family farm, the dilemma of choosing between GMO and non GMO seeds, landlord-tenant lease issues in the U. S., and environmental issues. In June 2002, she helped the French Economic Mission in Chicago and The Chicago Farmers organize a tour and discussion for French officials interested in agricultural issues. The topics included the 2002 Farm Bill, alternative farming, and GMO crops, among other things. She has written several articles for The Farm Journal.

Maître Ostfeld se spécialise dans l'agroalimentaire, forte de son expérience dans la gestion de fermes appartenant à sa famille. Ceci la conduit naturellement à s'intéresser au commerce extérieur de produits et de services liés à l'agriculture.

Elle est professeur adjoint du droit de l'agro-alimentaire international à l'école de droit, The John Marshall Law School, membre actif de The Chicago Farmers et des comités du droit de l'agriculture aux barreaux des E-U, de l'état de l'illinois, et de Chicago.

En Septembre 2001, elle a prononcé un discours devant une délégation d'agriculteurs français (Euralis) en visite à Chicago, traitant de l'environnement juridique de l'agriculture américaine et de son devenir: pérenité de la ferme familliale; choix de planter ou non des OGM; baux ruraux; impact des législations environnementales. En juin 2002, elle a prêté son concours à la Mission Economique Française à Chicago et aux The Chicago Farmers pour organiser un tour et déjeuner débat pour des officiels français travaillant dans l'agroalimentaire. Parmi les points de discussion ont été l'Acte de l'Agriculture de 2002, les sources alternatives de revenu dans l'agroalimentaire, et l'emploi des OGM. Elle a écrit plusieures articles pour The Farm Journal.
